‘Missing’ college student found blindfolded

Jhenidah: A college student, who had gone missing around four months ago, was found blindfolded near a college in Kaliganj upazila headquarters in the district on Thursday, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Maksudur Rahman Rana, a student of Kotchandpur Pouro College and son of Aminur Rahman of Harindia village in Kotchandpur upazila.

Rana’s family members said Rana remained missing since October 12 last year after some miscreants picked him up in a vehicle from his village.

Later, Rana’s family filed a general diary and held press conference demanding safe return if Rana. Officer-in-charge of Kotchandpur Police Station Biplob Kumar Saha said Rana called his family members over phone from near Mahtabuddin Degree College in the town.

Meanwhile, after his return Rana told his family members that he had been picked up for interrogation.
