Two crushed under train

Two people were crushed under train in Lalmonirhat and Rajbari districts yesterday and on Thursday.

 In Faridpur, a man was crushed to death under the wheels of a train at Gangaproshad village near Rajbari Railway Station on Thursday. The deceased was Pijush Kumer Biswas (51), of Char Badar villiage in Shailakupa upazila of Jhenidah.

Harun Majumder, OC of Rajbari railway police station, said a Doulatdia bound mail train hit Pijush at 11:30am leaving him dead on the spot.

In Lalmonirhat, a physically challenged man was crushed under the wheels of train in Lalmonirhat old railway platform area yesterday.

The deceased was Aminul Islam, 45. He was a newspaper hawker by profession. He has been selling newspapers for nearly 15 years and facing hardship to maintain his family.
