Members of Coast Guard Bangladesh seized nine ‘maunds’ of jatka (hilsa fry less than 10 inches in length) from Meghna river early yesterday. A team of coast guard conducted a drive in the river near west Chandpur around 3:30am and seized the jatka from launch MV Tasrif-3, said station commander Lt Sinchan Ahmed.
