Govt plans to construct two flyovers

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday said the government has a plan to construct two flyovers at Daur and Gabtoli points for reducing traffic gridlock in the capital, reports BSS. The government will develop teromukh-Abdullahpur-Dour-Birulia-Gabtoli- Babubazar-Postogola-Fatullah-Chasara-Demra route under Dhaka Circular route (part-2) surrounding the Dhaka city and construct two flyovers at the Daur and Gabtoli points of the proposed route, he said. The minister said this while replying to a query placed by treasury bench member Nurjahan Begum of women seat-2 at the House. The feasibility study and detail design of the flyover is now underway, he said.
