Cox’s Bazar: An autistic minor boy died and his friend sustained bullet injuries in an alleged firing at Rangikhali Ramarpar area in Teknaf upazila on Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.
Police arrested the man, Belal Uddin, who opened fire that hit two neighbor children.
The deceased was identified as Sadek, 7, an autistic son of Quadir Hossain and the injured was Mojahid, 10, Sadek’s playmate.
Quoting local people, police said the accused Belal Uddin opened fire at Mojahid’s mother at one stage of an altercation over the children playing that bothered the next-door Belal.
But the mother managed to evade, and Sadek and Mojahid were hit instead, leaving Sadek dead on the spot and the other Mojahid critically injured, police also added.
