The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court yesterday stayed for two weeks the High Court order granting bail to BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in a money laundering case. The four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order after hearing a plea moved by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) seeking stay on the HC order. The apex court also asked the ACC to file a ‘leave to appeal’ petition within this time.
