DU English Deptt reunion today

English Department Alumni Society (EDAS) will hold reunion today at the Teachers and Students Centre. Graduates from 1940 to 2017 are expected to join the event, said one of the organizers of the reunion. Alongside feasting and cultural programmes, the alumni will walk down memory lane on their campus lives to start at 3:00 pm. The alumni could register themselves online (edas.com.bd) for Tk 500 until Jan 15. Online registrations are still open for Tk 700.

Alumni can also register today at the venue. Registration fee for EDAS life members is Tk 600. English Department has been celebrating its 96th founding anniversary since the inception of the Dhaka University in 1921. The English Department Alumni Society came into being in 1986. Since then, the society has organised the annual reunion every year in the last week of January. EDAS offers scholarship and awards to the deserving students of the department every year, which are announced at the annual bash.
