Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said there is no scope to invite BNP to join the election-time supportive government as they have no representation in parliament, reports UNB. He made the remarks while talking to reporters after inaugurating work on the Kurigram-Rajarhat-Teesta road. Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said Bangladesh Chhatra League is not the source of power of Awami League; rather Jatiytabadi Chhatra Dal had been the source of all power of BNP. "Khaleda Zia used to openly say Chhatra Dal is enough to face Awami League. But we'll never use BCL to tackle BNP." He also said BCL will be reorganised within the next three months following directives from the Prime Minister. "Its new council will be held in March," he said. The ruling party leader said if any BCL man gets involved in any wrongdoing, he will be punished for that.
