Customs personnel yesterday arrested a cleaner of Bangladesh Biman along with 40 gold bars, weighing 4.65 kilograms, worth about Tk 2.32 crore from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital, reports BSS. "We arrested a cleaner of Bangladesh Biman Mustafa Kamal and seized 40 gold bars, weighing 4.650 kg, from his possession around 12.15 am yesterday while he was fleeing the airport," assistant commissioner of preventive team of Dhaka Customs House Md Saidul Islam told the news agency. The estimated value of the seized gold bars, which was brought by a flight (EK-584) of the Emirates Airlines, is Tk 2.32 crore, he also said. A case was lodged with Bimanbandar Police Station against the arrestee. The arrestee was handed over to police after filing the case.
