Chittagong: Three policemen were withdrawn in connection with the death of a youth in police firing during a clash between police and villagers at Bhatiari in Sitakundu upazila on Wednesday night, reports UNB. The policemen are sub-inspector Najmul Huda, constable Abul Kalam and ansar member Ismail Hossain. Meanwhile, a three-member probe committee was formed, said Nur-e Alam Mina, superintendent of Chittagong Police. Action will be taken after receiving the probe report, said the SP. Saiful Islam, 22, was shot dead and two others were wounded in police firing during a clash between police and villagers at Bhatiari in Sitakundu upazila of the district on Wednesday night.
