In view of the recent security situation in Southern Sudan, Chinese peacekeepers and an infantry battalion from Bangladesh carried out a joint defense exercises January 15 to enhance their capacity to cope with emergencies.
The joint drill took place on a field with the simulation of all kinds of emergencies. Under the cover of the Bangladesh peacekeeping troops, Chinese engineering troops quickly formed a combat formation to cope with various emergencies.
The eighth batch of Chinese engineering troops arrived in South Sudan in September last year, mainly responsible for providing support in the construction of water, power and heating facilities, as well as roads, bridges, airports, barracks and bunkers.
