The 121st edition of World Film Manifestation Programme (WFMP) will be held today in the auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in the capital, reports UNB.
Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) and the National Museum will jointly organize the Film Manifestation Programme.
WFMP was initiated by DUFS to provide film-lovers with an opportunity to watch classic films from different countries of the world in big screen.
This edition of the programme will feature three silent films from diverse countries of origin and three directors who contributed greatly in the making of not only the history of silent films but the very basis of film history itself.
The 74-minute long Germany 'Cabinet of Dr. Caligari' (1920) directed by Robert Wiene, 91-min US-based movie 'Lodger: A Story of the London Fog' (1927) directed by Alfred Hitchcock and 68 minutes long 'Man with a Movie Camera' (1929) directed by Dziga Vertov will be screened at 2 pm, 3: 25 pm and 5 pm respectively.
This programme is being organised on a regular basis in collaboration with cultural centres of embassies of different countries in Dhaka. l
