Bangladesh ace golfer Siddikur Rahman along with Shamim Khan of India and Wisut Artjanawat of Thailand are the three probable leading contenders for City Bank American Express Dhaka Open 2018 Tournament.
The tournament is tri-sanctioned by Asian Development Tour (ADT), Professional Golf Tour India (PGTI) and Bangladesh Professional Golf Association (BPGA) will begin today and end on January 27. There will be a total of 113 professional golfers from home and abroad participating in this tournament -17 from ADT, 36 from PGTI and 60 from BPGA. Players from 13 countries will be participating in this event. The total prize money for the tournament is BDT 50 lakh. The champion will earn 16 percent of the total prize money.
Bangladesh top golfer Siddik expressed his firm determination to live up to the expectation of the home crowd. He stated this at a media conference at Kurmitola Golf Club. “Its great to play at home course and I’m fully prepare to go for the title.”
Shamim Khan from India said he has played at KGC many times and he is looking forward to play at KGC once again.
Wisut Artjanawat from Thailand said he will be playing at KGC for the first time and very excited about it. The champion trophy was unveiled by the players and officials of BPGA, PGTI and ADT during the media conference yesterday.
