‘Pitha Utshab’ at Begumganj

To popularise the traditions of rural Bangladesh, a day-long 'pitha utshab' (traditional cakes festival) was held at Chowmuhani yesterday to celebrate the winter season.

140 students of Chowmuhani Pre Cadet Academy took part in the festival.Thousands gathered on the school premises to celebrate the festival.

The festival created scope for a new generation to acquaint themselves with our traditions, Gopla Karishna Das, headmaster of the school said

 A large number of guardians were also present.
