Police recovered the bodies of a young man and a girl from hotel at Sobahanighat area in Sylhet city yesterday night, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Rakhi Paul, 27, a resident of Jaintiapur upazila of the district and Mintu Deb, 28, a resident of Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj district. Gousul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said on information a team of police recovered the bodies from a room of residential hotel 'Hotel Meherpur' in the city around 10pm.
The reasons behind their death could not be ascertained yet, the OC added. The victims rented a room of the hotel around 12:05pm as a couple (Husband and wife). Police also arrested the hotel manager Abdul Wadud for interrogation. After recovery, the bodies were sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital Morgue, the OC said.
