Bangladesh suffered their third defeat in the group phase of 18th Asian Men’s Handball Championship when they went down to title contenders India 41-11 in Sewon, South Korea, on Saturday. India led the first half 19-2. Danha netted the highest eight goals for India, Harjinder Singh followed him with six goals. Mahbub produced for goals for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh tasted a 44-20 defeat to South Korea and another defeat of 36-15 to UAE. Earlier, defending champions Qatar defeated New Zealand 58-14 in their first match at the Seo-Suwon Chilbo Gymnasium in Suwon.
The Qataris dominated throughout their match in the South Korean city and put up a particularly good defensive display in the second half, conceding just three goals whilst scoring 31 of their own.
