Missing trio shown arrested by police

Lakehead school principal, edn minister’s PO, ministry staff picked up by DB

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the missing Lakehead Grammar School owner Khaled Hasan Motin, personal officer (PO) of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid , Motaleb Hossain, and Education Ministry staff Nasir Uddin from the city yesterday night, reports UNB.

The Detective police arrested them from different places of the city, said Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of DMP. However Masudur Rahman did not elaborate further on details of the incidents. Earlier, Motaleb Hossain, personal officer (PO) of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, has reportedly gone missing from the capital on Saturday.

Motaleb left his residence in Green Road area around 4pm and his mobile phone was found switched off since then, said Arfazur Rahman, senior information officer of the ministry. Motaleb's brother filed a general diary with Hazaribagh Police Station in this regard.

According to the GD, Motaleb left home for going to Basila area to look after the work of his under-construction multi-storied building on Saturday and did not return home at night, said Officer-in-Charge of Hazaribagh police station Meer Alimuzzaman.

Lakehead Grammar School owner Khaled Hasan Motin also reportedly went missing from Saturday. Motin was allegedly picked up by some unidentified persons on Saturday afternoon. School committee Staff Idris Ali filed a general diary (GD) with the Gulshan police stating that some unidentified people took away Khaled Hassan Matin on a vehicle from in front of the Lakehead Grammar School in Gulshan. Matin was unreachable on his mobile phone since the vehicle had left, Idris said in the GD.

Nasir Uddin, upper division clerk of Education Ministry reportedly went missing from the city on Thursday afternoon. Nayem Ahmed Julhas, brother-in-law of the victim, filed a general diary (GD) with Banani Police Station in this connection. Nasir Uddin, a resident of Lake City Concord of Khilkhet in the city, last communicated with his family members around 12:23 pm and said he was going to office from Banani. Later, his mobile phone was found switched off after 4 pm, Julhas added.
