Two bullet-hit bodies were recovered from Jessore Sadar and Bagharpara upazilas yesterday morning after what police claimed were two gunfights between rival groups.
Officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station Azmal Huda said police recovered the body of a man aged around 37 from Raghurampur area under Kotwali Police Station at around 3:40 am yesterday.
Police also claimed to have recovered firearms and bullets from the scene.
Manjurul Alam, officer in-charge of Bagharpara Police station, said police recovered the body of a suspected criminal aged about 25 from near a bridge at Bhangura village in Bagharpara upazila at around 9am.
Police could not confirm the identities of the two deceased persons.
