Sultan fair begins

Marking the 91st birth anniversary of artist SM Sultan a four-day long ‘Sultan Utsab’ (Sultan festival) organised by SM Sultan Shishu Charu O Karukala Founda­tion has been launched yesterday at the Sultan Manch premises of the district town.The programmes include art competition for children, art camp participated by the art students and teachers of different art colleges of Bangladesh, India  and Germany, documentary film show, art exhibition, discussion, cultural function and boat race in the Chitra River.
Narail Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif inaugurated the fair at 11 am. The fair will conclude on Saturday.  
Presided over by SM Sultan Shishu Charu O Karukala Foundation president Sheikh Hanif, the inaugural session was addressed, among others, by district council administrator Subas Chandra Bose, Police Super Sardar Rakibul Islam and Narail Press Club President Enamul Kabir.
