Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed its regret over the mistake as Bangladesh has been spelt incorrectly on ticket of Friday’s tri-nation series match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The name was spelt ‘BNANGLADESH’ on tickets, sparking huge criticism in the social media outlet and public sphere.
“It has come to the attention of the BCB that ‘Bangladesh’ has been spelt incorrectly on tickets for Friday’s Rocket Tri-Nation ODI Series match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Board regrets the mistake,” the BCB said in a statement.
It also said: “All undistributed tickets for the match have since been replaced with corrected re-prints.”
The board vowed to impose stern punishment on the people who would be found responsible for this error.
