Drug addict kills father in Comilla

Comilla:  A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his drug addict teenage son at Joag village in Barura upazila of the district on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rob, 65, of the village.
Quoting locals, police said Jewel, 15, used to seek money from his parents frequently for buying drugs. He locked in an altercation with this father on Tuesday night when he asked the boy to come off drugs.
At one stage, Jewel stabbed his father with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.
Local people rushed him to Barura Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
Jewel went into hiding after the incident.
Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Barura police station, said they recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
