Kunming South Railway Station employs facial recognition technology

Kunming South Railway Station, a high-speed depot in southwest China, has constantly upgraded its facilities to meet the travel needs of passengers since opening.

Recently, the station installed eight self-service, real-name verification devices with facial recognition features. Passengers can now hold up their tickets and ID while “swiping” their faces for efficient and accurate real-name verification.
