Two ‘robbers’ lynched

NARAYANGANJ: Two suspected robbers were killed and four others injured in a lynch-mob attack at Baligaon in Bandar upazila early Wednesday, reports UNB.

Quoting locals, additional superintendent of police M Sharifuddin said a gang of 15/16 robbers entered the area around 5 am to commit robbery.

Sensing their presence, a group of local people went to a mosque of the area and announced the attack of the robber gang using a mike, Sharifuddin added.

Following the announcement, locals came out of their houses and besieged six members of the robber gang.
