Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali will hold a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi today and the meet is being viewed as an important one, reports UNB. The two sides will discuss issues of mutual interests, including regional and international ones, in the 'important' meeting, a Foreign Ministry source said.
The Rohingya issue is also likely to come up for discussion, said the source wishing to remain unnamed. The Foreign Minister reached New Delhi yesterday noon on a three-day visit. He will attend the Raisina Dialogue, a multilateral conference committed to addressing the most challenging issues facing the global community, in New Delhi.
The third edition of the Raisina Dialogue titled 'Managing Disruptive Transitions: Ideas, Institutions and Idioms' begins at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave in New Delhi today that will continue until tomorrow.
Mahmood Ali will deliver speech on the concluding day.
This theme is designed to explore the shifting dynamics within the global order; where old relationships need new directions, emerging partnerships face unprecedented constraints and the notions of power and sovereignty are challenged, officials said.
The Dialogue will foster discussions on the role of institutions, the possibility of collective action and successful responses to these modern developments.
