Man held with 43 gold bars from airport

Customs intelligence in a drive arrested a man along with 43 gold bars from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday night, reports UNB. Md Anwar Hossain, a resident of Mohammadpur area, bearing passport No- B0176047, arrived at the airport from Singapore around 9pm, said director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Mainul Khan. Being tipped-off, a team of CIID challenged Anwar while he was passing green channel. During interrogation, he denied having any gold.
