Govt working for peoples wellbeing

KHULNA: Fisheries and Live Stock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda here yesterday said the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for the wellbeing of people in the country, reports BSS. Terming Bangladesh now in the highway of development the Minister said Sheikh Hasina is very cordial for the development of this region. He was speaking as the chief guest in a reception programme organised by Bangabandhu Fisheries Parishad, Khulna division, at Boyra Fisheries Building in the city.
The minister said the Fisheries sector is contributing vital role in national economy. The government is enhancing fisheries and fish farming into sweet water is increasing day by day, he added. The Minister asked Fisheries officials to perform duties cordially. President of Bangabandhu Fisheris Parisad and Deputy Director of Khulna Fisheries Inspection and Quality Control Prafulla Kumar Sarkar chaired the function while Deputy Director of the Directorate of Khulna Fisheries Ranjit Kumar Paul addressed the function as special guest.
