Woman succumbs to burn injuries

Jessore: A housewife who suffered burn injuries while cooking in her kitchen of Tawra village in Jhikargachha upazila on Thursday died at a hospital here on Friday evening, reports UNB.

China Begum, 30, wife of Anwar Hossain of the village, succumbed to her injuries at Jessore General Hospital around 7pm.

Family sources said China’s sari caught fire around 8pm on Thursday while cooking in the kitchen, leaving her injured.

She was taken to the hospital where she died today, said sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station Mahbub Alam.
