Four cops withdrawn for negligence of duty

A sub-inspector and three constables of Maheshpur Police Station have been closed to district police lines on charge of negligence of duty.

The police personnel are—SI Anisur Rahman and constables Abdul Gaffar, Asadul Haque and Imran Hossain.

Additional superintendent of police Ajhabar Ali Sheikh said a gang of bandits carried out robbery in a Darshana-bound bus at Purandapur on January 4.

On January 7, police filed a case with Maheshpur Police Station accusing seven-eight unidentified people.

Later, the district police withdrew the four policemen for their negligence of duty during the robbery incident.
