Hasanuzzaman Khan, former associate editor of the New Nation, and also a permanent member of the National Press Club, died on Sunday night. He was 69, reports UNB. He breathed his last at his residence at Mirpur Journalist Residential Area around 9 pm.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at 11 am on Monday on the National Press Club premises, said a press release. Hasanuzzaman, who was also news editor of The Independent, is survived by wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers.
National Press Club President Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed their profound shock at the death of Hasanuzzaman. They also conveyed their deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
