Construction of nine bridges progressing fast in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH: The construction work of nine bridges and culverts is progressing fast in Muktagacha upazila of the district this year, reports BSS.

The bridges are being implemented under Annual Development Programme (ADP) with Taka over 2.70 crore.

The project has been taken with a view to developing rural communication network as well as developing socio economic condition of rural people of the upazila.

Project Implementation Office officials said of the nine bridges, the construction work of three bridges has already been completed involving over Taka 80 lakh.

Project Implementation Officer Sherajul Islam Siddiquee told BSS that on an average 50% work of the bridges have already been completed. The remaining work of bridges and culverts will be completed by March this year.

After the completion of the bridges, over 3 lakh rural people of the upazila will be benefitted and get smooth communication facilities, he added.
