Road crashes kill 4 in 2 distrs

Four people were killed in road accidents in Coxs Bazar and Gopalganj districts yesterday.
In Coxs Bazar, two people were killed and three others injured as a Bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Pechardip area under Ramu upazila of the district yesterday noon.
The deceased were identified as Saidur Rahman, 25, son of Shikender Ali, a resident of Kambunia village under Teknaf upazila and auto rickshaw driver Nurul Abser, 35.
Officer-in-Charge of Ramu police station AKM Liakat Ali said the accident occurred when the two vehicles collided head-on in the area, leaving auto rickshaw driver Nurul dead on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were sent to Cox Bazar Sadar Hospital where Saidur succumbed to his injuries.
In Gopalganj, a woman and a bus driver were killed and at least 10 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gonapara area of Sadar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Mala Begum, 35, wife of Sobhan, a resident of Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat and the bus driver Sheikh Shahon, 48, son of Sheikh Kabir, a resident of Bogail village in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district.
