Chandpur police arrested Nayan Begum, 28, the fugitive main accused in Awami League activist Kohinoor Begum murder case, from her grandfather’s home at Torpurchondi village in sadar upazila yesterday. Nayan managed to flee just after she allegedly hacked to death district unit Awami League activist Kohinoor Begum, 45, mother of three children, at her own house at Rahmatpur in the district town on the night of August 22. Kohinoor’s elder brother Malek Bhuiyan filed a case in this connection on the following day accusing six people, including Nayan Begum.
