The news was on the air for quite some time that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will not retain Shakib Al Hasan this year as the new system to keep only three players from the previous squad is now mandatory. Now it’s official. So after seven years with KKR, Shakib Al Hasan now will go auction market to play in the IPL.
There is curiosity that who will purchase him or whether any team will show interest on him but the man himself has no headache about that. “If any team picks me, then it’s good and if any team doesn’t show interest, I have no problem,” there was one line answer when he was asked about IPL.
Shakib is amongst the eight players who name was sent for IPL auction from the BCB. The other seven players are Tamim Iqbal, Mustafizur Rahman, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Liton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraj and Abul Hasan Raju. In the last season, Shakib played just one match for KKR in which had scored just one unbeaten and conceded 31 runs in three overs and went wicketless.
