Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla made a courtesy call on President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the capital yesterday, reports UNB.
During the meeting, President Hamid said bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India is very excellent and the relation has been expanded gradually, said President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin.
"Trade and investment have also been increased among the two countries. Besides, understanding in international and regional levels between the two countries is also very excellent," President Hamid said.
The Indian High Commissioner handed over the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind's New Year greeting Card to the President Hamid.
Noting that the relations between Bangladesh and India have deepened further for direct link through railway and roads, the Indian envoy said people in both the countries have been benefited as well as trade and commerce have also been expanded gradually.
