CHITTAGONG: Police arrested a Non-Government Origination (NGO) officer with huge foreign currency worth about Tk 35 lakh in a drive from Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia thana in the city yesterday, reports BSS. The arrested was identified as Mohammad Selim Ullah,38, an accountants of Co-Operatives for Human Activities, an NGO, works for Rohingya camp, hailed from Cox's bazar sadar upazila. A team of Bakalia thana police detained him with 112 pieces US dollar of $ 100 denominations and 1,880 pieces Malaysian ringgit of 50 denominations, 310 pieces Malaysian ringgit of 100 denominations in the area at 6.30am yesterday.
