‘Arms peddler’ arrested in C’nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two pistols, four magazines and 14 bullets from Daldali in Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Sunday.

The arrestee was Md Tushar Ahmed, 20, of Pirgachi village in Bholahat upazila of the district.

The elite force said acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Rajshahi Mollapara camp raided the aforesaid area at around 4:15 pm and held Tushar with the arms and ammunitions.

Later, he was handed over to the police. A case was filed.
