The state government of West Bengal in India yesterday filed a petition with a local court to withdraw a case filed against Noor Hossain, a former councilor of Narayanganj City Corporation and the prime accused in Narayanganj seven-murder case, according to a report by BBC Bangla. Hossain also faces several other cases in Bangladesh. The Indian state government wants to withdraw their case against Hossain to ease the procedure of sending him back to Bangladesh, the reports adds. Hossain and two of his accomplices have been under trial in a North 24 Parganas’ court for more than a year in a case filed for trespassing into India.
