A Dhaka court yesterday placed BNP chairperson’s adviser and journalists’ union leader Shawkat Mahmud on a four-day fresh remand in four cases filed with Paltan and Motijheel police stations, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Mahmud Adnan put him on one-day remand in each case during hearing on the remand petitions.
Earlier on Sunday, police sought an 80-day remand for Shawkat Mahmud in eight separate cases filed with the same police stations.
