OUR CORRESPONDENT, Chapainawabganj

Businessmen of Chapain-awabganj formed a human chain and staged a rally in front of Press Club yesterday protesting the  hike in trade licence fees by the municipality.
President of Chapai-nawabganj Nagorik Com-mittee Syed Hossain Ahmed Badsha was in the chair at the rally.
Speakers said the trade licence has been increased from Tk 300 to Tk 2,000 recently. This abnormal hike will harm conducting business smoothly, they added.
They asked the Local Government, Rural Deve-lopment and Cooperative Ministry and mayor of the municipality to revise the fees and fix it at a tolerable rate.
