Mohammedan Sporting Club earned their eight wins in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League football when they defeated Rahamtganj MFS by 2-1 yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

After winning the match Mohammedan brought their tally 28 from 19 matches when from as many matches Rahmatganj managed 13 points to remain at the most bottom side of the table.

Mohammedans, who were struggling in the first-leg, strongly bounced back in the second- leg to grab stunning four wins and two draws, which boosted up to get out from danger zone.

After evading the tough time, Mohammedan continued their impressive show and were also unbeaten in four matches in row before this encounter.

Rahmatganj who posed huge threat to all giants in the previous season and ultimately tagged as the giants killers for their convincing performance throughout the league but this season they have been going through with some stern times and now among with the teams of under relegation threatened.

However, on the day the Old Dhaka outfit demonstrating better performance could not overpower the Mohammedan as the traditional Black and White snatched the victory playing with counter attack strategy.

Mohammedan took the lead inside six minutes of the game when Nkwocha Kingsley notched the opener with an elegant side-volley with Augustin Walson setting a long range cross and the Nigerian forward giving no chance to any Rahmaganj defender just blasted home with a right footer (1-0).

Rahmatganj made a quick response and took only four minutes to level the margin and just tipped off to earn points. Mohammed Sohel scored the equaliser with a close range shot when Mohammedan defenders failed to clear a Dawda Cesea cross and Sohel found possession inside the area and did not make any mistake to send the ball into near post (1-1).

Mohammean taking the advantage of all-out strategy of Rahmatganj and doubled their tally on 32nd minute and this time it was a bit unfortunate for Rahmatganj when an ordinary cross of Nasirul Islam just deflected a defender, as the goalkeeper was confused and missed line as the cross ball was turned into the net (2-1).

Rahmatganj, who had to do something to save face with lifting up from the bottom position, switched to a two-pronged attack for the second half, but Mohammedan continued to tear through all the confrontations.
