Mahedi wants to scoop his first chance in natl team

Even though the native of the same district and the beginning of the cricket career had been started with the U-14 cricket team, Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Mahedi Hasan were in different positions for the last few days.
Miraj broke into the national team when he was in 19. Now he is a confidante and regular soldier of the Bangladesh with his scintillating performance. Mahedi on the other hand just started his career in a word though he had played together U-15, U-16 and U-19 with Miraj. Even, the duo played National Cricket League (NCL) for the same team, Khulna Division, who recently lifted the NCL title for the record-setting sixth time, whereby Miraj showed his prowess with cherry and Mahedi with willow.
Prior to the upcoming back-to-back series at home turf, Mahedi along with some BPL performers has been included in the 32-member preliminary squad. And so, the duo are staying and sharing the same dressing room though he has a long way ahead to make the room. So, Mahedis feeling and expectation was different to Miraj.
I feel a bit thrilling in morning as I join the national teams camp for the first time. The experience from breakfast to dressing room sharing was something different, said Mahedi Hasan.
Everybody was seated on their respective seat in dressing room. But I was not finding my seat actually where I will sit on. Whether I go to sit, I dont get it for me. For this I feel bit nervousness. I was stood for a longer period, Mahedi told media at the Mirpur Indoor Stadium at his first reaction yesterday.
Some of my teammates told me that such is happened in case of the fresh blood. Gradually it will be okay, he added.
The 23-year-old Mahedi meanwhile justified his grits where he was drawn for playing including High Performance (HP) and Bangladesh A team. He also played in BPL for the Comilla Victorians. So, he is very much confident about his skills what he said if he gets chance to play for the national team, hell try his utmost best for the teams demand.
Im, obviously, self-confident. Ill attempt to give my all-out best whether I get chance to play. Im agreed to give if its needed to deliver more than hundred percent, he viewed.
I myself consider me as an all-rounder. I focus more on the area when it is needed to do well, he said.
Actually, its very difficult to equally focus on two different areas. I will be mindful more on what it will be better because the possibility is more of spoiling it if I go to focus on two areas together, he added.
When asked about Mahedi, Miraj whose face was full with smiling said that they are playing from Khulna since their childhood.
Mahedi is my close friend. He and I have been playing together since U-14. We have been playing together for Khulna Division. I feel better to see him in the national teams camp, Mehedi Hasan Miraj said of Mahedi Hasan.
I feel proud that another cricketer has come out from Khulna, he also said.
His name is also Mahedi. He is my childhood friend. I know each other since my childhood. Hopefully he will do something better for the country and for the team, he added.
