SSC candidate murdered

KHULNA:  A student of SSC candidate was hacked to death in Chanmari Bazar area in the city Tuesday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Khalilur Rahman Siam,17, a Secondary School Certificate  (SSC) candidate of Rupsha High School of the city. Siam was suddenly attacked in the Chanmari Bazar area at 7.45 pm by a gang of 5 to 6 youths and indiscriminately chopped him, locals said.

He was rushed to Khulna Medical College and Hospital where on duty doctors declared Siam dead.

Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in Charge (OC) of Khulna Police Station, said Siam might have been killed by local youths due to previous enmity centring establishing supremacy over the area.

A case was filed with Khulna Police Station in this connection.
