The arrestees identified as Iswar Das and Gurjan Singh came here from Dubai on Emirates flight EK-586 at around 7.45 pm on Tuesday.
“They tried to leave the Green Channel area hastily. On suspicion, we challenged them but they denied having any gold with them.
We later took them to a Uttara clinic, where x-ray report confirmed presence of gold bars inside their rectums,” said assistant commissioner (preventive) Md Saidul Islam.
Legal actions have been taken against the duo as par Customs Act 1969.
