Gupi Gain O Bagha Bain Staged

Eastern University Drama and Theatre Forum (EUDTF) staged its 9th drama production, titled Gupi Gain O Bagha Bain, a dramatic representation of Upendro Kishore Roy Chowdhury’s story, at the Central Public Library in Shahbagh recently. The hour-long show was an engaging one and got great response from the large audience, says a press release.

The drama is a fantasy adventure comedy that celebrates the scope of music in liberating the human soul. EUDTF members, who are students of different departments of Eastern University (EU), acted in the play, which was directed by Shatel Kabir, a theatre activist and news producer at Independent Television.  

EU Vice-Chancellor M Nurul Islam, national award winning playwright Masum Reza and scriptwriter Dipu Hazra were watched the performance. The programme was designed by Ismat Zarin, EUDTF coordinator and assistant professor of English.
