Own goal sinks Bangladesh

An own goal at the eleventh hour by Tutul Hossain Badsha downed Bangladesh 2-1 against Nepal in the SAFF Under-19 Football Championship
at Army Ground in Katmandu yesterday.
Bangladesh and the host Nepal started the match with an aim to emerge Group A champions while both the sides have already ensured their semifinal berth after winning their group leg first match against Bhutan.
Rohit, who scored one off two goals of Bangladesh’s 2-0 win over Bhutan in their first match, put Bangladesh into lead when the forward scored a beautiful goal. Rohit blasted a powerful  grounder within twinkle of an eye when the ball came to his way just inside the top box (1-0).
But the Red and Green could not enjoy the lead for a long when the Nepal hit back converting a penalty on 18th minute (1-1).
Bangladesh conceded the match winner when Tutul Hossain Badsha deflected Ananta Tamang header into his own post just 10 seconds before the final whistle in the injury four minutes of play (2-1).
