PDB chairman gets 2-yr extension

Power Development Board (PDB) Chairman Engineer Khaled Mahmood has been given a two-year extension on a contractual basis, reports UNB. A PDB statement said Khaled Mahmood was appointed as the PDB chairman for the next two years on the contractual basis on completion of his regular service as chairman on December 22. Khaled Mahmood, a Buet graduate in Electrical Engineering, joined the Directorate of Programme of PDB as an Assistant Engineer in 1981. After his service in the PDB in various capacities, he was appointed as the chairman of the organisation on August 16 last year.
