Teenage boy found dead in Chandpur

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a teenager from Shaheb Bazar in Haziganj upazila of Chandpur district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Asad Hossain, 18, son of Md Rafiqul Islam of Khilpara village in the upazila.
Manik Hossain, Kalochow union parishad chairman said the boy along with his friends was playing badminton on Saturday night.
At one stage, he went to buy a cock in a market near the playground but did not return.
His family members looked for him but in vain. Later yesterday morning locals found his body lying in the aforesaid
area.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chandpur General Hospital for an autopsy.
Jabedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Hajiganj police station said reason behind the killing is yet to be known. Police is looking into the matter.
