A local Juba League leader, who sustained bullet injuries in a gun attack in the city’s Madhya Badda area on August 13, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday night, raising the death toll to four, reports UNB. Abdus Salam 45, senior vice-president of Badda union unit of Juba League, the youth wing of ruling Awami League, succumbed to his injuries around 11:15pm, said hospital sources. The three other were Mahbubur Rahman Gama, cultural affairs secretary of Dhaka (North) city unit of Swechchhasebak League, Shamsuzzaman Shamsu, AL ward-6 president of Maddhya Badda area, and Manik, manager of a local hospital. A group of miscreants opened fire on the four while they were gossiping near the Water Tank at Adarsha Nagar at 9pm, leaving them injured.
