BNP Joint Secretary General Amanullah Aman was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) from the Dhaka Central Jail yesterday after he felt sick, reports UNB. Nesar Ali, jailer at the Dhaka Central Jail, said Aman complained of chest pain at noon and subsequently he was taken to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) prison cell. Later, Aman was taken to Birdem from the BSMMU at 9pm, but the authorities refused to get him admitted. Later, he was taken to the DMCH around 10:45pm and got admitted to Unit-1 of the Medicine Department, said in-charge of DMCH police camp Inspector Mozammel Haque.
On August 2, separate Dhaka courts sent Aman to jail in a number of cases filed for arson attacks and vandalism during the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s blockade and hartal programme, rejecting his bail petitions.
