Leadership dev programme held at NSU
North South University (NSU) organised a collaborative event titled ‘Next Generation Leadership Development Programme’ with Shorno Kishoree Network Foundation (SKNF) The event was held on the third day of the 4th National Convention of ongoing Shorno Kishoree campaign to promote the physical and mental health of adolescents, says a press release.
Adolescent girls from 4555 unions across the country participated in the first and second days of the competition. A total of 400 girls won the chance to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Development Programme at the NSU auditorium.
As part of a co-operation agreement with the Shorno Kishoree Network Foundation, NSU has given the opportunity to the best of the meritorious golden girls of the divisional schools to study at the university with 100 percent scholarship.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was chief guest and Farzana Brownia, chairman, Shorno Kishoree Network Foundation as special guest. Prof Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor presided over the programme while Mohammad Shahjahan, chairman BOT, MA Hashem and RehanaRahman, Members of BOT and Prof GU Ahsan, Pro Vice-chancellor (Designate), NSU delivered speeches.
RU Student Rights Association launched
Student Rights Association, the first ever organisation of the country concerning students' rights, has started its journey on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus with the slogan ‘Committed to Protect Students' Rights’. The organisation revealed itself presenting its constitution at a press conference at university central cafeteria on Thursday.
Dr Shahin Zohora, administrator of university legal cell and advisor of the organization, announced the 15-members convening committee at the programme making KAM Sakib of Law department convener and Md Fazle Rabbi Tomal of the same department member secretary. Assistant Proctors of the university Md Shibly Islam, Gazi Tauhidur Rahman and Rabiul Islam were present at the press conference.
